I made a reservation for August 18,2020. An employee at the hotel ran my card without my authorization, and prior to my arrival. I contacted the Extended Stay at 10060 W Broad St, Glen Allen, VA 23060, which was were the reservation was made, to inquire why was my was card ran without my consent. The employee gave no explanation and stated that she was canceling my reservation. I asked for a reason for the cancellation, no reason given. Once I arrived to the hotel, for my check-in the employee informed me that the reservation was cancelled. (This was the same person that I had spoken to on the phone who threat to cancel my reservation). This employee had no uniform or name tag identification. I asked for her name, she said “Sam”. No manager contacted me on this matter. I made another reservation, while I was in the lobby. The employee, Sam refused to honor my reservation, no reason given. I asked to speak with a manger; the Sam stated no manager was available. I asked for the phone number to the corporate office, Sam said look it up on my phone. I asked for the business cards of the manager and general manager. Sam replied that she didn’t have any business cards. I asked Sam for her last name or initial, she refused to give me her last name or initial. “Sam” said, “you have 10 minutes to get off the premises or she will call the police “.
Is this how Extended Stay operates their business? Is this how Extended Stay of American treats their guest? Is it the policy to run a guest card without authorization from the guest? Is it Extended Stay standards to threaten guests with calling the police without just cause?
I sponsored a 30 day stay for a homeless person at the extended stay off I-10 and chandler blvd in phoenix Arizona during record temperatures of 118 degrees. He was in the third week of his stay when the keys at the hotel stopped working each day due to the heat. His bipolar anger got the best of him and he got angry with the staff over the keys. The hotel asked him to exit immediately which he did and he left the room clean with no damages. He left to be back on the streets. The hotel and its manager Mark refused and continue to refuse to give back the 7 days left on his stay which he prepaid leaving him without $370 which is all the money he has to his name. Money that could help him eat and fund another short term place to stay to get out of the heat. I will never book a hotel with this chain again for their lack of compassion and empathy and doing the right thing during this COVID time. Shame on you Extended Stay.

I want you to know your Internet Service is the worse I have ever come across and will note it on public websites where reviews are available for public viewing. It constantly goes down, only lasts for a couple of hours uninterrupted at its very best. You can only hook up one device at it cannot be connected by WiFi it must be by an Ethernet cable or some other hard-wired method. I don't know whatever hidden charge you put in the room rate for the Internet service, but if it is more than zero it is way too much. In fact, given the level of service, your Internet provides zero is too costly. Despite your statements of having support available none is available I have called the support line at least a half dozen times, and note of the "technicians" know what to do or was going on. I got many different answers to the same questions. The problem is ESA will not let you bring in an outside provider even if you are willing to pay for it. There is an old cliche what's cheap is dear, and nothing is cheaper than zero which is infinitely worth more than the Internet service ESA provides.
I stayed at the Extended Stay America in the northwest side of Indianapolis. The place had bugs. It totally grossed me out! I found three dead in the kitchen drawer. After complaining to the front desk clerk, she upgraded me to a new and different room. When I came back to move my stuff, there was an alive bug (I believe them to be roaches - ugh!, gross!!) crawling along the kitchen back splash. So I went to my new room trying to make the most of the situation. In my new room, I put a throw on the back of the loveseat (I was staying for 13 weeks; I wanted to make the place homey), I pulled the loveseat out from the wall, there was a roach "motel" next to the baseboard. Wonderful! That night I dreamed of roaches, I was so unnerved. The next day I moved out. There was no way I could stay there any longer. I kept looking over my shoulder to see if a roach was there. I was so disgusted. I have pictures to prove what I am saying. The hallways smelled. I saw bags of trash outside of rooms. Never again will I stay in an Extended Stay America. If I could give this place zero stars, I would!

I wanted to take out the time to write a review regarding my stay @ Extended Stay America located in St.louis Mo 11228 Long Eagle Dr, Bridgeton MO 63044
I was very disappointed because the level of noise throughout the night, the door slamming all night cars parked on the parking lot with music blasting and people hanging out smoking weed and drinking. I didn't feel safe at all, No security and when I went to the front desk to complain twice must I add no one was at the front desk, it was so bad i left at 2 in the morning I contacted guest relation only to be told they will write up a report and someone will contact me in 24 hours it been 5 days and I have not heard from anyone, the room are really nice but I wont be staying here again
Do NOT stay at the Clairmont road location in Atlanta GA. the manager named Abu kept trying to come into my room at 4 and 5 am saying he smelled smoke and he was creepy as I was a woman alone and then when my young daughter was there she was accousted several times by a man named " King" saying he worked w him and tried to sex traffic her we were there for 2 months waiting on out apartment to open up and we're terrorized the entire time to the point where we left 3 days early of our weekly stay . I tried to tell the corporate office and they just laughed. Please beware of this place , especially if you have children .DO NOT bring them there. A total nightmare that sadly I can't do anything about but thankfully we got out of there safely.the assistance mgr Suni or some name of such was also supposed to be involved w the trafficking.if any police or agency wants to contact me my email is right here.i will gladly help any way I can to stop this.
We arrived after a 26hr drive from Texas to the ESA off San Ignacio in San Jose Ca. We are travel nurses for Covid Crisis. Check in was easy. Neighborhood was nice. (No homeless sleeping on the streets). Upon entering the room we found a nasty floor. Dried food on counter. A bath faucet that wasn't installed correctly. The dresser had 2 broken drawers. The doors were covers in black grime. The beds were horrible. Pillows were old snd stained. The employee showed us two new rooms. We discovered when we moved into the new room that the kitchen faucet was broken. Water everywhere!
People checking out daily due to drug activity and cars being broke into.
I will NEVER stay at this chain of hotels again.
I have been staying at Extended Stay America in Fremont, Ca since July of this year. I have no intentions of moving out the room that I have been staying in until things get better. The people that work here are friendly and the manager is always willing to help me save money whenever it is time to extend my stay. The hotel is close to my work (11 miles) which is one of the benefits and I haven’t had to worry about anyone breaking into my room or ever had to worry about the room being filthy or have insects invading my space.
I would recommend this place to anyone that is looking to stay in the Fremont area...
I recently stayed at the extended stay in Durham on Miami st. This place has forever changed me. It was a complete dump! Simply put it is disheartening that its even open! Prostitutes and crack heads roaming the building and parking lots. Rooms are absolutely unsafe and dirty. Mold growing in the cabinets, bathrooms, and closets! My company booked 4 rooms for 2 months and we chose to walk out and get rooms at different hotels. This place needs to be closed down by the health department! Honestly I'm thinking this place should have lawsuits against them for taking people's hard earned money and returning such a pitiful environment for people to stay. Garbage all around the building especially in the ditch beside the hotel. The elevators reeked of urine, hallways reeked of Marijuana and cigarettes! Someone needs to do something about the horrible environment they offer and do something about the management, staff! Put the safety and health of the public first! This place is a true modern day dump! Clean it up or tear it down. I'd choose option 2 honestly!
I stay in this hotel every other month especially the one on Kentwood Grand Rapids Michigan for work purpose, which make me one of your best costomer, I made a reservation on the hotel in Germantown and accidentally use the wrong date, they took $73 for my account for not showing up and while I called to explain, it was a total desaster, first they refuse the refund and kept hanging up on me, I think being a loyal costomer to you guys I’ve been mistreated . It’s a difficult time for everyone, y’all need to be a little soft on people especially financially speaking. I am so DESAPOINTED
Excellent Management. Courteous Service. Excellent Customer Service Relationship.
Outstanding service by Jorge and Dan to solve a problem after checkin at 5620 Major Blvd. in Orlando, going above and beyond to ensure for a happy returning customer. Great property, quiet, all staff wonderful. If there is a Spirt of Extended Stays, Jorge and Dan qualify. Great work.
They say on their booking site that they offer free WiFi but that only consists of email viewing and basic browsing. What they don't tell you is that they charge you $5 an hour to get faster internet and to be able to use the internet more than email and basic browsing. I reserved my room hours in advance to arriving and upon going into my room, it was stupid. One pillow, No lock for the door and the television is slanted and broke pointing to the ground and the remote is broken and the phone in the room when I tried to call about the room, all it does is beep, beep, beep, beep. And when I went 3 floors down to the office to complain, she took me to her last room to see if it was better. It had not even been cleaned and there was no pillows in that room anyway. They need to change the batteries on the doors because you are constantly going back down three floors to office just to get the card re-keyed. I rate this specific motel as a 1.
